About the museum

Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine" is the largest museum on the history of the Jewish people and Holocaust in Ukraine, opened in October 2012. Its halls are dedicated to one of the most terrible tragedies of the 20th century - Nazi extermination of Jews in Europe and the description of the traditional Jewish world destroyed during the war years. This is a new type of museum: its exhibition is a combination of unique exhibits, modern multimedia technologies and art installations.

Schedule and tours

The museum is open to visitors – Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday, 10:00 AM — 7:00 PM (entrance until 6:00 pm)

Guided tours are available at 10:00 AM, 12:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM (for groups from 8 to 30 people by appointment)

We offer to visitors various tours both sightseeing and thematic devoted to detailed aspects consideration of Jewish and Ukrainian history, culture and religion. For school groups it is possible to carry tours in the format of museum lessons. More information about the tour can be found here

Museum Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine

Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies "Tkuma" ("Revival")

The first national center for the study of the Holocaust history. The institute was founded in 1999. Main directions of its activity: research programs, educational programs and activity, publishing of scientific, educational and methodological literature on Ukrainian Jewish history and the Holocaust. The Institute also provides scientific support for the development of the Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine".
