“Holocaust. Documented crime”

On January 27, on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the premiere of the documentary “Holocaust. Documented crime” directed by Snizhana Potapchuk took place on the public TV channel “UA: Pershiy”. Snizhana Potapchuk is a director of dozens important films about Ukrainian history ("Koriukivka. Crime Against Humanity" and "The feat of Kruty heroes") and national dignity and territorial integrity of our country.

In 2016, Snizhana Potapchuk was awarded the honorary title “National Hero of Ukraine”.

The main characters of the film are eyewitnesses of the Holocaust - people who became victims of the Nazi genocide. Dnipro, Kyiv, Odesa, hitherto unknown places of tragedies, histories of human destinies and unrealistic trials from the point of view of the present, unbridled pain of losing loved ones, which is at the same time a warning against fatal repetition of past mistakes.

 

Dr. Igor Shchupak and Dr. Yehor Vradii were academic consultants and participants in the filming process.

The shooting of the film in our city and in particular in the exposition of the Museum took place in December 2020.
