On December 10, 2020, Museum"Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine" opens a new exhibition for visitors. 29 stories on behalf of those who had the misfortune to be born in the 1920s - 1930s… Stories of those whose childhood was replaced by War and all the unseen misfortunes of mankind… Whether it is possible to call childhood (youth and adolescence) life behind barbed wire, every minute fear for parents and their own existence, a feeling of backwardness in the eyes of the majority. Is this such a familiar childhood for us?
Their stories are simple and metaphorical at the same time. Every word clearly and calmly tells about tragedies, as elements of everyday life - familiar and inevitable. "There was tall grass" - in three words all the pain and fear of a child looking for salvation in uncut grass…
It turns out that the important thing can be said in three words.
This exhibition is not just about pain and fear, hunger and doom. It is about what is really important and valuable - friendship, responsibility, family, devotion, love and memory. About what does not require verbosity…
Online broadcast of the opening of the exhibition on the Facebook-page of Museum on December 10, 2020 р. at 03:00 p.m.
The exhibition will be on display at Museum until February 1, 2021.
