The language of religions in the museum space

On March 18, 2026, at the initiative of the Department of Culture, Tourism, Nationalities and Religions of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the forum “Language of religions in the context of the realization of human rights to freedom of conscience” was held. The participants of the forum, including representatives of religious organizations, clergymen (including servicemen of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine), teachers of secondary and higher educational institutions, representatives of cultural institutions and local self-government bodies, were hospitably received by the Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum named after D.I. Yavornytskyi.

The Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” was represented at this important event by the deputy director for scientific work, Dr. Yehor Vradii, who gave a speech on the topic “The museum as a place of religious dialogue: contemporary challenges.” It discussed what role the Museum and cultural institutions in general can play in the formation of the national unity of Ukrainians of different ethnic origins and religious affiliations and at the same time contribute to the preservation of cultural and religious diversity of Ukraine, the development of a culture of respect for human dignity and mutual acceptance of each other.
