Dear friends! With grief and saddness we inform you that today, September 21, Mykola Polyakov, Rector of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honorary Citizen of Dnipro, died at the age of 74.

Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Knight of the Order of Merit, author of more than 300 scientific papers, he headed one of the best universities in Ukraine for over 20 years. 

We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mykola Polyakov.
