New project with Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs

A long-term joint project of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, in particular Faculty of Economic and Legal Security, together with “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies has been begun. The project has the working title “Priority for a future law enforcement officer – values with which he will serve for the benefit of the state”, and consists of a detailed study and discussion of scientific issues on tolerance, hate speech, overcoming stereotypes and prejudices in Ukrainian society.

The project has started on the initiative of Kyryl Nedria, head of the Department of Humanities and Psychology of Police Activities of the University, and Yehor Vradii, deputy director of “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” scientific work.

Within the frameworks of the new project, cadets of the Faculty of Economic and Legal Security together with teachers visited Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. Yehor Vradii, deputy director of “Tkuma” Institute and Museum scientific work, primarily focused on interethnic and interreligious tolerance in the history of our state. He also emphasized its relevance at the present stage. Thus, the speaker underscored the importance of the law enforcement role.

During the visit of the cadets and the teachers to the museum, prospects for further cooperation for this project implementation were outlined.
