Every year, starting in 2019, on August 29, Ukraine honors those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state. This is a day of deep sorrow, when the entire country bows its head to the courage of its sons and daughters, who paid the highest price for it. They changed their usual lives and stood up for the defense of the Motherland - a sovereign and independent, democratic state in a difficult time for it. In the fight for the future of Ukraine, they sacrificed their own future. These sacrifices, which emphasize for us the importance of the further development of Ukraine, should not become useless and forgotten, they should establish those values and guidelines that will lead it to prosperity.
Dear fellow citizens, Ukrainians, let us remember the Heroes! Let us make every effort to ensure that the memory of their deeds does not fade away!
Everyone can contribute:
- join the commemoration events;
- observe a moment of silence wherever you are;
- visit memorials and honor the Heroes in your locality;
- help the families of the fallen and veterans;
- support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through volunteer and charitable initiatives;
- promote the history of the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
It is through such daily actions that memory becomes alive, and the sacrifice of the Heroes is not in vain. Let us support those who continue the fight today on the front lines and in the rear!
