This time, the Museum together with “Hesed-Menachem” as part of the project “Jewish Heritage” invited the listeners of the Open Lecture to a virtual tour of the temporary exhibition “Outstanding Women Who Survived the Holocaust”. The exposition was prepared because of close cooperation of the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” with the Museum of Genocide “Territory of Memory” (Odesa), the NGO “Odesa Holocaust Research Center”, the Odesa Jewish Cultural Center “Hillel”, with the support of the Jewish charitable organization “Joint”.

The exhibition is devoted to the destinies of women who not only survived the conditions of Nazi terror but also found the strength to turn their pain and traumatic experience into a bright, dignified and loving life. They became social leaders - scientists, athletes, writers. The virtual tour was conducted by a researcher at the Museum, Dr. Olena Ishchenko. She analyzed the sources that contributed to the spiritual victory of the heroines of the exhibition. It is a warm childhood in Jewish families, and a significant potential of abilities, and the education and professional skills acquired in the pre-war period, and one's own family, which motivated spiritual growth. Part of the class was watching a film, which allowed listeners to more deeply feel the context of the historical era, the personal experiences of women.

The discussion went on for a long time. It was the preservation of self-dignity and femininity of the heroines of the exposition that caused a special stir – an experience that is extremely relevant even in the current uncertain times.
