In recent weeks, the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” has been hosting events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Shootings in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro), which took place on October 13–14, 1941.
In advance of the memorable date, the Museum's researchers conducted thematic excursions for schoolchildren and students. During the excursions, special attention was paid to such topics as anti-Jewish propaganda in Nazi Germany, the creation of ghettos, concentration camps, death camps in the occupied territories, Babyn Yar and the “Babi Yars” of Ukraine, strategies of people's behavior during the Holocaust, etc.
Among the numerous visitors were students of Levi-Itzhak Schneerson Dnipro Lyceum No. 144. They had the opportunity to learn more about the consequences of the Nazi genocide in Europe and Ukraine, learn about the fate of Holocaust victims and rescuers of Jews, and see unique exhibits that tell the story of those terrible years.
We would like to remind you that the Museum is open to cooperation with educational institutions. If you are interested in holding a thematic lesson, write to us or call us. We will be glad to see you in our Museum!
