21.07.2025

The Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” continues the internship of the 2nd year students of the University of Customs and Finance, who are studying under the educational program “History and Anthropology of Law”. On the first day, a joint meeting of the interns was held, together with the head of the internship, head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Prof. O.V. Morozov, and a team of researchers of the Museum, who will guide the work of the students for two weeks.

The Director of the Museum, Candidate of Historical Sciences Iryna Radchenko noted the advantages that students have from undergoing practical training “live”, in direct communication with professionals, close access to expositions and funds. After all, most of their predecessors did not have such an opportunity for a long time due to the reality of epidemic and war. The coordinator of the practice, a research associate of the Museum, Candidate of Historical Sciences Olena Ishchenko revealed the main areas of work of the students and announced the general procedure for completing the practice. Prof. Oleg Morozov clarified the reporting deadlines at the department and the requirements for assessing the efforts of students. Then the floor was given to each of the leaders: the chief custodian of funds Lyudmila Sandul, the head of the library Zoryana Bondar, and the researcher Darya Yesina. They familiarized the students with typical tasks and wished them success.

On the first day of practice, students also had two excursions: Olena Ishchenko introduced the Museum's temporary exhibitions and spoke about the features of this aspect of exhibition work; Lyudmila Sandul guided students through the collections, revealed the features of storing different exhibits, and new technologies for preventing loss of collections due to force majeure.

And then - the students arrived at their workplaces to master the profession of historian-museologist. We wish them success!
