Evidence of humanity

On May 14, Ukraine honors the memory of Ukrainians who rescued Jews during World War II. Throughout its history, the museum has been conducting systematic work related to preserving memory and popularizing knowledge dedicated to the feat of the Righteous Among the Nations and the Rescuers of Jews during the Holocaust.

As part of the joint project of the Museum with the Charitable Foundation “Hesed Menachem”, another meeting of the Foundation's wards with staff and partners of the Museum took place. This time, the main speaker was Valentyn Rybalka, Head of the Exhibition and Publishing Department of the Municipal Institution “Museum of Resistance to the Holodomor” of the Dnipro City Council. Together with the Deputy Director of the Museum for Scientific Work, Dr. Yehor Vradii, he presented unique stories of human solidarity, mercy and salvation in times of difficult trials - the Holodomor of 1932-1933 and the Holocaust.

Our partner's speech did not leave the audience indifferent, among whom were people who owe their lives to the reputation of the Rescuers. Their testimonies will soon be added to the Museum's database and displayed on our resources.
