A solemn ceremony dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day was held on January 27 at Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine". Zelig Brez, Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Jewish Community Charitable Foundation, Olga Horb, Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Doctor of History, Head of the South-Eastern Department of the National Institute of Ukrainian Memory National Memory, Professor of the National Technical University "Dnieper Polytechnic" Igor Kochergin, Director of the Charitable Foundation "Hesed Menachem" Oleg Rostovtsev, Dr. Igor Shchupak.
Each speaker lit a candle in memory of the 6 million Jews killed in the genocide. The funeral prayer for the victims of the Holocaust was read by Oleksandr Fridkis, the head of the Dnieper Jewish religious community.
During the ceremony, Dr. Yehor Vradii, who moderated the event, presented to the public a new exhibit - two commemorative silver medals created by the Mint "Knyazhyi". They are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy and depict children, women and elderly people dying. We truly thank the Mint of the Prince and its director Kateryna Klymenko for the gift! It will soon take a worthy place in the exposition of our Museum.
