TEACHER'S DAY is not just a professional holiday. This Day is an important opportunity to thank the teachers who have largely determined the fate of each of us.
The profession of a teacher is one of the oldest, most difficult and responsible, but at the same time grateful. There is no person who has not met the Master in his life (yes, with a capital letter). The teacher puts his whole soul into the students and is a guide to the world of new knowledge. His hard work deserves great respect.
Every year on October 5, Teacher's Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world. This is a professional holiday for all teachers, educators and workers in the field of education - a day that celebrates the role and merits of teachers in the process of quality education at all levels, as well as their invaluable contribution to society. The holiday was launched in 1994, thanks to UNESCO and the International Labor Organization, as World Teaches ’Day. By the way, the events that were a historical precondition for the creation of such a holiday happened in 1966. In Paris, at a special intergovernmental conference, a document on the social status of teachers was signed.
In Ukraine, Teacher's Day is traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday in October.
